About Zen Elite Equestrian Center
Zen Elite Equestrian Center, located near Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is a world-class facility dedicated to nurturing the growth of both horses and riders. Built with a vision of combining top-tier equestrian care with a tranquil, rejuvenating environment, Zen Elite offers spacious concrete stalls, extensive turnout areas, and access to covered and open arenas. The facility also includes a state-of-the-art horse gym featuring an Aquatread, treadmill, cold water spa, and a VibraPlate with solarium to ensure optimal equine health and performance.
Zen Elite goes beyond just training and competition — it’s a sanctuary where riders and families can unwind in the elegant lounge, complete with cloud couches and a cascading fountain, offering a peaceful space to relax. With a philosophy that values the unique journey of each horse and rider, Zen Elite creates an environment where they can thrive and reach their full potential.

In addition to supporting elite equestrian athletes, Zen Elite extends its mission to the animal rescue community through Zen Haven, a nonprofit animal sanctuary co-founded by Heidi Humphries and her partner, Danielle Linder. Zen Haven provides a safe and loving home to rescued animals, including pigs, donkeys, ducks, and cats, reflecting the same care and compassion that defines Zen Elite.
Zen Elite’s impact reaches international heights, with horses like Helix, who competed at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games with Adrienne Lyle, and Bohemian, ridden by Team USA’s traveling reserve Endel Ots. The center also proudly sponsors talented trainers and riders, including Christian Simonson, Jill Briggs, and Kati Dagge.

About Heidi Humphries

Heidi Humphries is the visionary behind Zen Elite Equestrian Center, blending her lifelong love for horses with her extensive experience in healthcare and business. Humphries’ journey began as a Neonatal Registered Nurse, where she cared for newborns and their families, offering support during their most vulnerable moments. Her desire to help mothers led her to found Spectra Baby USA, a company that revolutionized the breastfeeding industry by providing innovative, hospital-grade breast pumps that empowered mothers on their breastfeeding journeys.
Humphries’ success with Spectra Baby USA taught her the intricacies of building a business with heart, staying true to her values, and listening closely to the needs of those she serves. These same principles guide her work at Zen Elite, where she fosters an environment that supports the individual growth of horses and riders alike.
Her deep connection to horses began at the age of seven with her first horse, an Appaloosa mare named Roxie. Roxie was not just a horse — she was a teacher who instilled in Humphries the virtues of patience, responsibility, and unspoken communication. This early bond ignited a dream to one day create a facility where horses and riders could thrive, which ultimately led to the founding of Zen Elite Equestrian Center.
Though a neck injury prevents Humphries from riding today, her passion for the sport remains unwavering. She continues to stay deeply involved by supporting top-level riders and Zen Elite’s exceptional horses.
Humphries’ commitment to excellence extends beyond the show ring. Through Zen Elite and Zen Haven, she ensures that her values of compassion, care, and dedication shine through in every aspect of her work. Whether nurturing Olympic dreams or providing a safe haven for rescued animals, Humphries remains driven by her desire to create something truly meaningful.
As a mother of two, Bryan and Nicole, and a devoted caretaker of her own personal horses and minis — Zill, Rambo, Phantom, and Bowtie — Humphries continues to balance her passions while fostering a community where horses, riders, and animals can thrive.

Zen Elite Equestrian Center
our contibutions to the sport
At Zen Elite Equestrian, we are deeply committed to nurturing the future of equestrian sport in the United States. Our mission is to elevate the sport at every level—from grassroots initiatives to international competition—by supporting talented horses, promising young riders, and elite professionals.
We are proud to sponsor world-class athletes including Adrienne Lyle, Endel Ots, Jill Briggs, Kati Dagge and Christian Simonson, who compete aboard our horses in both dressage and jumping.

Our Wellington training facility—opening soon—is designed to be a hub for growth, welcoming both emerging riders and Olympians, as well as young prospects and seasoned Grand Prix horses. Meanwhile, our Southwest Ranches location continues to foster grassroots development under the guidance of Jill Briggs and Kati Dagge.
We are honored to support cornerstone events in the sport, including the U.S. Dressage Training Series U25 East Coast, Adequan Global Dressage Festival, Winter Equestrian Festival, and Dressage at Terranova.
In 2024, we launched Zen Elite’s Rising Star Grant—a new initiative that awarded two deserving dressage riders each month during the winter season with a one-time $2,000 grant. Designed to offset costs for show entries, clinics, or lessons, the grant empowers riders to pursue their equestrian goals and continue their education.
At Zen Elite, we believe that meaningful contributions spark momentum. We’re proud to invest in the future of equestrian sport.
