Christian Simonson

Christian Simonson discovered dressage at six and quickly became the protégé of USDF Gold Medalist Gail Hoff Carmona. By thirteen, he was competing nationally and training with Olympian Jan Ebeling. He won Gold and Silver medals at the 2016 and 2017 Adequan/FEI NAYC and earned his USDF Bronze and Silver medals. In 2018, Christian began training with Olympic competitor Adrienne Lyle, splitting his time between Colorado and Florida. He represented the US on the Young Rider European Tour, winning a Team Bronze and securing a second-place individual finish at Hagen, Germany.

He returned to the US to win triple Gold at the 2021 Adequan/FEI NAYC and became the 2021 US Young Rider Champion. In 2022, Christian won the Palm Beach Derby Small Tour, set a new freestyle record, and represented the US at CHIO Aachen, where he placed third in the Musical Kur. By 2023, Christian and his horse, Son of a Lady, became number one in the Small Tour World Rankings, won the CDIO3* Small Tour Freestyle in Wellington, and achieved podium finishes at Aachen and Hagen. He was the youngest rider to represent the US at the Pan American Games, where he helped secure the Team Gold Medal.
